Meyan World Info
Coins of the Hero
At any time in Meyan there are between 4 and 7 legendary golden coins. Some of these coins may be hidden deep in dungeons, in the horde of an ancient dragon, or flowing as part of the gold economy of meyan unknown to their holder.
These coins seem to augment the luck of the person who holds them. When all the coins that are in Meyan at one point in time are gathered a world changing deed can occur.
Gold Coin of the Hero
Aura: strong universal
Description: A old looking gold coin that even though tarnished occasionally shimmers revealing it’s magical nature. When in possession of a Gold Coin of the Hero, the user gains several benefits:
Feeling Lucky(ex): All luck bonuses gain an addition +1 bonus (for example the luck bonus from the spell prayer would give +2 instead of +1 to the owner of this coin).
Good Fortune (ex): This extraordinary ability allows its possessor to reroll one roll that she just made, before the results are revealed. She must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s worse than the original roll.
Wish (ex): When all the Gold Coins of the Hero have been gathered(the total number, between 4-7 usually, in existence is determined by the DM), the possessor can make a great wish. This functions as the Wish spell, but can do great good, or great evil to the world such as resurrecting a diety, halting a cataclysmic event etc) at the DM’s discretion. Once this wish is used the cold coins immediately scatter. At least one coin is guaranteed to reenter the flow of gold in the Meyan economy, the others are randomly scattered by DM discretion.
Special* Tied to the fates of Meyan: This item is so directly tied to the fate of Meyan that the effects cannot be suppressed. Even an Antimagic field or disjunction spell has no effect on these coins as long as they are on the material plane of Meyan. When taken away from the material plane of Meyan, these coins have no effect.
